• New York Marathon, Nov 6th, 2005

  One of the world's great Marathons, the New York City Marathon, in 1970, had 55 finishers. From this humble beginning, the race has grown to include 35,000 participants in 2005.

  Not everyone that wants to run the race can do so, unfortunately. Patrick McLaughlin made it into the race through a lottery system designed to make it fair for all.
