When the young children of Nausori, Fiji, from different cultural and religious groups, are old enough to walk the
distance to the nearest school, their education level is already several years in arrears.
Through projects created and supervised by the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul (Mission)
located in Nausori, Fiji, the children are given a better chance for life and a better future.
Projects range from providing access to education, promoting educational
opportunities for children with learning deficits and making wheelchairs available
for physically challenged children, to meeting some of the the most basic needs by supplying clean water.
Most importantly, the provision of basic education skills at an
earlier stage of the children's development will better prepare them for their life's journey.
We have also started some programs to teach the older members of the community much needed skills, such as computer courses.
You can read about this on our "recent developments" page.
